SPELLING BEE PRACTICE
Why should you study advanced words?
You have come prepared for your local spelling bee by learning to correctly spell all the words from the Words of the Champions. Now you are a champion and will advance to the next level. Congratulations! You will compete with other spellers who, like you are well prepared to spell any of the Words of the Champions. The spelling bee will now leave that list and ask you to spell any word they choose from the dictionary. The following sets will help you get started with this daunting challenge. They do not include every word in the dictionary, but it's a start. More sets will be added from time to time. Follow the steps of the "Spaced Learning" strategy. Check back often.
Steps in Spaced Learning Click on "STUDY" or "TEST"
1. Study one set of words at a time with effort.
2. Leave a space of at least one day before testing yourself.
3. Test yourself. Make your brain work hard to remember.
4. Repeat often leaving more space between testing practice.
